Check for current availability.
There are six study rooms in the basement and one on the second floor. To use a study room you will need to check out a key at the circulation desk using your TCU ID card. Study rooms can be checked out for three hours a day.
Study rooms vary in size and letting us know your group size will help us in getting you matched up to an appropriate room. Our smallest room can accommodate up to two people while the larger rooms can fit 10-12 people.
All rooms have wireless access for computing. Basement rooms are equipped with dry erase boards and supplies can be picked up at the circulation desk.

Two rooms located in the basement of the library have 12 carrel spaces in each room. Access to the two rooms is controlled by an ID card reader. While these spaces can not be individually assigned they do offer a quiet space with wireless access.
Graduate students may turn in an application to the circulation desk to be added to the access list to the two rooms.

The Scholar's Study, located on the basement level of the library in room B23, provides research facilities within the library reserved for TCU graduate students. The purpose of the Scholar's Study is to provide space for individual students whose research requires extensive use of in-building material.
There are a number of graduate students who use the library on a daily basis. The Scholar's Study is intended to support those whose research requires frequent use of library material. Personal belongings and library materials that have been checked out may be left on an ongoing basis in the individually-reserved space. The Scholar's Study space is in addition to two currently available graduate study rooms.
Applications for a spot in the Scholar's Study should be turned into the administration office by the end of the first week of classes at the beginning of the fall semester. Applications will be reviewed by the Dean of the library and applicants will be notified within a week of the deadline. Each desk has locking cabinets and wireless network access is available.

Fifteen faculty research rooms in the library are available by submitting an application each year during the first fall semester class week for review by the University Library Committee. Faculty research rooms have a desk, chair and network connection. Access to most faculty research rooms is through a separate hallway and offers some solitude from many library activities. Keys will be assigned in the library administration office.
